For our biannual celebration of performance work to documentary evidence, this collection of artists has been succinct, quick, fleet, brief, concise, even pithy — not terse, but certainly not verbose. Gestural really, and some very beautiful and bizarre gestures they are. Sometimes located in an uncertain landscape — rural, urban, suburban. Those who are not out there somewhere are pretty much looking at you, while you look at them.
